Butterfly Pose.
This is a great pose to stretch the lower and upper back. It stretches the hips as well and calms the mind. You may also come onto your back with the feet in the same position.

Child's Pose.
Another wonderful pose to stretch the lower back. It also opens the knees and ankles. Child's pose is very relaxing. If you have knee issues you can come onto your back and bring the knees towards the body.

Reclining backbend.
You may roll up a blanket or pillow and align it with your spine. The is a wonderful stretch for the lower back. It mostly opens the shoulders and chest. You may keep your legs extended or bend the knees. Backbends create energy.

Twisting.
Twisting rotates the spine. Twists are very nourishing. You may keep the bottom leg bent or you may extend it out in front of you.

Cobra Pose.
A gentle backbend that is wonderful for relieving lower back discomfort as well as stretching the frontside of the body.

Legs up the wall.
This is one of my favorite poses. It is great to stretch the back of the legs. It's also a very restful but it's also an energizing pose. It's great to do at the end of the day when you don't feel like doing anything.
